The core purpose of the inclusion suite is to provide behaviour strategies for students to enable them to survive and cope with the challenges and barriers they face in school, in lessons, with teachers, with students that day, that week.


The focus and emphasis is to be developing practical behaviour management strategies and techniques that young people can use in school.


Students will be supported to develop a sense of belonging to the school community, a sense of self-worth and competence and of empowerment to make decisions about their life in school. Central to this will be the development of literacy and numeracy skills through the work completed in the unit supported by the curriculum taught by subject specialists.


The Oaks underpins and supports other behaviour management work in and beyond the school.
