Welcome to Religious Studies
Most people at some time in their life, grapple with big questions “What’s the point in life?” “How did the universe come into being?” Can we ever be certain whether an action is right or wrong?” “Do we need a Government?” “Do we need the law?” “What if we all made our own rules?” Religions across time have answered these questions. In Religious Studies we learn to consider many different views and understand what it’s like to follow the answers provided by the world’s religions. To give a balanced view, we study religions from the East and the West, Christianity, Hinduism and Islam, amongst others. We follow the Hampshire Agreed Syllabus Living Difference. RS can be studied to GCSE. Last year, most students in Year 11 studied the subject through to GCSE.
